4 Nails Trends to Try In 2017

I've always been an avid believer that a woman without a manicure is like a dog without a bone. Face it -- when you've had a mani, you feel good, your hands look great and you feel like you can take on the world. And since its change of season, and we all need a good pick-me-up, I've rounded up some nail design trends which seen too good to pass up next time you visit your salon.

#1 Metallic Silver

Unless you've been living under a rock for the last month, metallics are everywhere right now. That goes for your nails as well. You may choose to rock out the finely-milled glitter metallics, but the current trend is a beautiful mirror-like chrome metallic sheen to your finger tips. These nails have even made an appearance at the New York Fashion Week AW17 shows of Opening Ceremony, Roland and Creatures of the Wind.

#2 Classic Red

No explication necessary here. Well groomed square-shaped red nails have ALWAYS been a timeless trend. Quite possibly my favourite nail choice ever, and will always have a special place in my heart.

#3 Negative Spaces

Negative space nail art, particularly with minimalistic retro designs are a trend seen on runways since 2015 that no one seems grow tired of. I don't blame them -- this trend has a certain elegance to it if executed correctly by a professional. Definitely worth a try.

#4 Maximalist Embellishments

Again, as seen on the catwalks of many designers at New York Fashion Week 2017, this trend seems to be gaining traction. Many designers opted for a luxurious Swarovski encrusted nail design, but for us mere mortals rhinestones will do the job just as well. If you're brave at heart and sick of monotone nails this one is definitely for you.
